Artist Residency

Redbarn Residency is a renovated 1870 Irish Cottage in South-East Ireland. It is a spacious, open plan home with one double bed, a large kitchen, bathroom and shower.

10 minute walk to Redbarn Beach.

Access to Youghal town: 40 minute walk or 17 minute cycle.

Buses run from Youghal to Cork city on the hour throughout the day, the bus stop is 40 minute walk from the cottage.

There is no studio space available as it is currently under construction. The studio will be available by september at the latest.

Residency: Recomended one week stay, scheduling dependant on availability
€ 300 per week

The Redbarn Residency is the creative heartbeat of Oghyll, offering a transformative space for artists to live, work, and connect with the rural environment. Located in a restored cottage on Forrest Farm, the residency provides an inspiring setting where art and nature coexist. This program invites artists from diverse backgrounds to immerse themselves in a unique landscape. At Redbarn, the emphasis is on time, space, experimentation, and meaningful engagement with the environment.

Residency Availability

Artists can apply for a minimum of one week. The residency opens in March and closes December 21st.
